What is the best way to simulate, or better yet, find situations of hostile uncertainty to practice within short of deploying to a warzone? Pilots use flight simulators in preparation for actual flight; what can a strategist use in peacetime to better develop this ability to "act in uncertainty and thrive in chaos?" I'm cognizant of the fact that a simulation (or equivalent), by definition, won't capture the full experience; however, it might help those who are currently unable to be at the forefront of a struggle (military or other).
